With over 20 years in the industry, Tony is an experienced investor and has also advised numerous public and private equity businesses. In December 2014, Tony became CEO of Gresham House and brought in a new management team that has transformed the company from an investment trust into an AIM listed specialist asset management group.
Tony started his career at Phillips & Drew Fund Management (later UBS Global Asset Management), one of the UK’s most prominent value investment firms with £60 billion in assets at its peak. He was a member of the UK Equity Investment Committee with responsibility for managing over £1.5 billion of UK equities.
In 2002 Tony founded and became CIO of SVG Investment Managers and CEO of SVG Advisers (formerly Schroder Ventures (London) Limited), the global private equity funds business and specialist alternatives manager. He established and led the growth of SVG Investment Managers, before launching Strategic Equity Capital plc, a London listed Investment Trust in 2005.
Tony currently Chairs the London Pension Fund Authority’s Investment Panel, which oversees £4.6 billion in AUM. He is also an Independent non-executive of JP Morgan Private Equity Limited plc, and advises St Edmund College’s Endowment Fund.

Rupert has 30 years’ experience in asset management and wealth management. Rupert was previously CEO and CIO of Schroders (UK) Private Bank and head of private clients at Rothschild Asset Management Limited. Rupert is Chairman of Gresham House Forestry.
Kevin is the Finance Director for Gresham House plc and has over 15 years of finance and operational experience in private equity. Kevin joined Gresham House from Oaktree Capital Management where he was a Senior Vice President responsible for finance and operations in the European Principal team covering private equity and debt opportunity funds. Prior to joining Oaktree, Kevin was Director, Group Reporting and Valuations for 3i Group. Kevin qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales.
John-Paul is the Chief Operating Officer for Gresham House plc and responsible for acquisitions, operations, procedures, and integration across the growing Gresham group. John-Paul has an MBA from Columbia University, an MBA from London Business School, and a double degree in Law and Arts from Auckland University, with Honours in contract law.
John-Paul joined Gresham House from LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group, where he advised and negotiated over 100 private equity deals as Investment Director and General Counsel. Prior to LDC, John-Paul was legal counsel at Coutts & Co, where he created and advised Coutts’ private equity feeder funds, structured finance, trusts and investment products.
John-Paul qualified as a barrister and solicitor in New Zealand with Russell McVeagh, transferring his qualifications to the UK when he took a position with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, advising on corporate M&A.
Graham leads the strategic public equity strategy alongside Tony Dalwood. He is experienced in Fund Management and in building both corporate advisory and Asset Management businesses.
Graham has spent the last 6 years as a senior executive at PayPoint plc, most recently as Director of Strategic Planning and Corporate Development. He was Executive Chairman and President of PayByPhone, a multi-national division of PayPoint operating out of Canada, the UK and France between 2010-2014. Prior to joining PayPoint, Graham was a fund manager and Head of Strategic Investment at SVG Investment Managers where he helped to establish and then co-manage the Strategic Recovery Fund II and Strategic Equity Capital Investment Trust.
Before joining SVGIM he was a Director in Corporate Finance at JP Morgan Cazenove
Andrew Hampshire joined Gresham House in Feb 2017 as Chief Technology Officer. Andy is responsible for all technology initiatives across Gresham House and is also tasked with creating value through developing a client platform to provide a high-quality service for investors that facilitates co-investment opportunities.
He has a strong technology and business background, having previously worked for LDC and the Wholesale Division of Lloyds Banking Group where he spent six years leading numerous change and technology programmes. Throughout his career Andy has advised companies on identifying value creation opportunities to support growth that can be driven through technology as well as supporting complex technology integrations post mergers and acquisitions.
At Lloyds Banking Group, he was responsible for heading up the data quality function and prior to this led a programme to deliver a Chief Operating Office to the Global BSU business. He was also responsible for delivering an integrated case management and impairment calculation technology platform within Global BSU following the acquisition of HBOS.
Prior to Lloyds banking group Andy started his career with his own company as an independent software developer.
Over five years of UK small cap equities experience, working as both a research analyst and as a Director on the equity sales desk at Charles Stanley Securities where he was responsible for looking after corporate clients, predominantly UK smaller public companies, a number of secondary placing’s and IPOs.
Prior to joining Charles Stanley Jonathan worked for BP Plc and Accenture UK Ltd as a management consultant working on global business transformation projects, operational restructuring and ERP system implementations
Laurence is a part of the Investment Team at Gresham House, working on both public and private equity transactions across a range of sectors for Gresham House Strategic. For the Gresham House Real Assets division, he supports fund-raising and investment activities.
Laurence has a Bachelor’s Degree in Politics with Economics from the University of Warwick. During his studies and previous to joining Gresham House, Laurence interned at Rothschild’s, working on the Mergers and Acquisitions Team in the Industrials sector and Barclays Capital on the Equities trading floor.
Pardip is an Investment Director in the Gresham House Strategic Equity Division and is responsible for sourcing and supporting both public and private equity transactions across a range of sectors.
Pardip has a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Manchester and qualified as a UK Chartered Accountant with KPMG where she spent time in Audit, Transaction Services and Global Tax Advisory.
Previously Pardip worked at LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group, where Pardip assumed Board positions on uSwitch (Price Comparison Website) and Bluestone (Financial Services).
Previous to this Pardip spent five years at Lloyds Banking Group where she worked in the Global Corporate Business Support Unit executing several large restructurings and spent two years directly supporting the Managing Director of Global BSU to manage distressed assets in the UK, US, Ireland, Europe and Australia, which at its peak comprised a portfolio of circa £80bn.
Nick joined the GHAM team in August 2016, having previously joined LMS in 2012 to oversee the realisation strategy and was instrumental in structuring the Company’s new arrangements with GHAM. Nick is a Chartered Accountant by training and was a partner at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. For the last 20 years Nick has worked as a consultant to and as CFO and CEO in alternative asset investment businesses including real estate, private equity and renewable energy.
Tony joined the GHAM team in August 2016 having previously joined LMS Capital in April 2006 as Chief Financial Officer. In addition to his finance responsibilities, he participates actively in investment activities, particularly supporting portfolio companies in formulating strategic plans and funding requirements. Prior to joining the Company, he was the CFO of Systems Union Group plc, an AIM-quoted international software business, where he was responsible for the group finance function and was also involved in a number of cross-border acquisitions. Before that, Tony was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he gained experience of a variety of sectors and geographies.
Bruce is chairman of Aon UK Ltd and of Moneysupermarket.com Group plc and a non-executive director of Santander UK plc. He was previously a managing partner of 3i QPE plc, a managing director of JP Morgan and CEO of Marsh Ltd.
Matthew is the founding partner of Hanover Investors.
He has sat on numerous public company boards, including Elementis Plc, Renold Plc, 4imprint Plc, STV Group Plc and Fairpoint Plc and has previously been Chairman of Singer Capital Markets and a founding director of TDX Group.
Prior to Hanover, Matthew held senior positions with Barclays De Zoete Wedd and Credit Suisse First Boston. Hanover Investors have pursued an illiquid investment strategy in small and mid-cap United Kingdom public equities and private equity transactions for over 12 years with a philosophy similar to that proposed at the Company. Hanover has worked alongside Tony Dalwood on a number of its investments over this period.

Peter started working in the City of London in 1972 and worked as an investment analyst and fund manager in a number of roles in unit and investment trusts, insurance and finally pension schemes. The last 25 years of his career were spent as the Investment Manager of the British Airways Pensions scheme and chief investment officer of the Universities Superannuation Scheme.
He is currently a director of Scottish American Investment Company and First Property Group and Bell Potter Securities UK Limited, the UK branch of an Australian stockbroker.
Anthony has spent over 40 years working in the City of London and was chairman of the Association of Investment Companies from 2001 to 2003. He is chairman of Baronsmead VCT 3 plc, British & American Investment Trust plc, F&C Global Smaller Companies plc, Finsbury Growth & Income Trust plc and Miton Worldwide Growth Investment Trust plc.
He was a director of Brit Insurance Holdings plc from 1999 to 2008 and represented it on the Council of Lloyd’s of London from 2006 to 2008. He was managing director of Finsbury Asset Management Ltd from 1988 to 1998. He was a non-executive director of Worldwide Healthcare Trust plc from 1995 to 2013.
Richard is a chartered accountant, who was appointed to the Board on 17 June 2008 as a non-executive director. Richard spent 27 years within the J Sainsbury plc group of companies where he had considerable experience of property development and financing, having been director of corporate finance and of business development. He is also a non-executive director of SpaceandPeople plc.
