Gresham House plc was incorporated on 14th May 1857 with a company number of 871. It is an Authorised Investment Trust and conducts its affairs so as to qualify as an investment trust under section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988.
As an investment trust the Company invests in securities for the long term and is obliged to distribute the majority of its investment income less administrative expenses by way of dividend.
The Group consists of the Company and a number of subsidiary undertakings whose principal activities are financial services and property investment / development.
The Group’s overall objective is to provide shareholders with long term capital and income growth by a combination of investing primarily in UK equities and high risk venture capital entities, balanced by a significant property portfolio.
